La Patat’ine brings an innovative twist to comfort food with its DIY stuffed baked potatoes, a concept inspired by popular Spanish street food and Moroccan influences. Customers can start with a classic “Patate de base” and load it with their choice of toppings for a fully personalized dish. In addition to its signature potatoes, the restaurant also serves smash burgers and chicken burgers, offering a hearty fusion of Canadian fast food and Mediterranean flavors. With its creative approach and generous portions, La Patat’ine has quickly become a go-to destination for food lovers looking for something different.

On a chilly, rain-soaked spring evening, my aunt and I found ourselves craving something warm, comforting, and made with love. That’s exactly what we found at La Patat’ine. The moment we stepped inside, the gloom outside melted away. The space is cozy and inviting—warm lighting, lush hanging plants, and intimate tables make it feel more like a cherished home than a typical restaurant. Every detail seems thoughtfully curated, creating an atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. And then there’s Fatine—the heart and soul of La Patat’ine. She welcomes every guest like an old friend, her smile as comforting as the dishes she serves. Her warmth adds something truly special, as if you’ve been invited into her own kitchen rather than just dining out. We ordered two patatas asadas, both perfectly roasted with fluffy interiors and crispy skins, generously topped with bold, flavorful ingredients. Even when larger potatoes aren’t in season, Fatine doesn’t cut corners—she simply adds more filling, more toppings, and more care. The Patate de Mexico was the highlight for me: a rich, hearty chili con carne with just the right amount of spice—deeply satisfying and soul-warming. The Patate de Casablanca, with its savory merguez sausage and sweet caramelized onions, offered a beautiful balance of heat and sweetness. I’ll absolutely be back—next time to try the smash burgers and Moroccan specialties. La Patat’ine is a rare gem where comfort food meets genuine hospitality, and every bite tastes like home.

Unique DIY baked potato spot You get a HUGE potato (bigger than what I usually see) with lots and lots of toppings. You choose your potato base, then the sauce and then 3 toppings. The Patate de Mexico and Patate de Lyon where amazing. It’s a nice, family vibe kind of restaurant. The owner is super super sweet and the service is amazing.

Hands down one of the best spots in town! The potatoes are next-level—you get to pick your own toppings, and every combo is a flavor bomb. On top of that, the place is super clean and beautifully set up. Great food, great vibes. Definitely coming back!
