An unforgettable experience! This Algerian restaurant is a true hidden gem in Montreal. The flavors transported me straight to North Africa — from the perfectly spiced couscous to the melt-in-your-mouth Medaouar. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service was exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely proud of the cuisine they serve. A must-visit for anyone who wants to discover the richness of Algerian food and hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back

Met two friends who were already seated so the three of us joined there table not to take up an additional one. Waited 30 minutes for our food to arrive and before the hour was up we were aggressively told by the owner that we needed to vacate as he had people waiting. Even though after finishing our meal we ordered one more dish as we were still hungry. I told my friend to cancel the dish and for us to leave. By then as we were paying the owner wanted to give us the last dish on the house. I told him absolutely not. I didn’t wanted. We asked how is it normal to ask customers to leave like that and to be treated in such a way. It’s not proper to treat customers in such a way. The waitress said to check their google reviews. Bravo! Here is one more review for you.

I had never had Algerian food before and was told this was the best place to try it. Walking into a beautiful cozy and home feeling restaurant, felt comforting. service was fast and great. We got the zviti which sits in a cool long wooden holder in the table. It was delicious!! Mild spice was a good mild. The m’fawar beef shank was so soft and well done, and the chachoucha was so good. The borek probably the best sort of spring roll I’ve had. They also had this yummy triangle pastry dessert I think called samsa. The tea is free and perfectly sweet and a good ending to a yummy filling meal. I would come back and order again for sure mashallah it was amazing

What a wonderful discovery! Typical, authentic Algerian cuisine. It’s very rare to find such a gem, a restaurant that is able to take you on a little trip across the ocean, and into the mountains and hills of Algeria to experience the true, pure and delicious local dishes. Thank you for your hospitality 💕❤️
